Chicken meat with squash, carrot and green peas

SUITED FOR:

6-7 MONTHS

TYPE:

LUNCH

RICH IN:

ANIMAL PROTEIN, ESSENTIAL AMINO ACIDS, IRON, ANTIOXIDANTS

Hey, today I’ve come up  with a very aromatic lunch proposal, not to say, very healthy: a snack suited for even the most “demanding” tastes. ;)

Ingredients:

  • 20 g chicken thigh
  • 1/3 squash
  • 1/3 carrot
  • 50 g peas
  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil

Preparation:

1. Wash and boil the meat, then shred the meat with a knife.

For an excelent taste, boil the chicken thigh for at least 40 minutes. Then, check it and, if it’s tender, it is ready, if not, leave it for 10 more minutes.

2. Clean and wash the vegetables, then cut them into small sizes and steam them.

3. Once the veggies are cooked, chop them together with the meat and add a teaspoon of olive oil.

According to a study conducted by the New York School of Medicine, the chicken tigh contains more nutrients than, let's say, chicken breast. Of course, I'm talking about the important nutrients for the development of the little one, such as: iron, zinc, selenium, as well as vitamin A, K and the vitamin B complex. So, I recommend you to confidently use chicken thighs in your little sunshine's diet.
