- Clean and wash the squash, chop it into medium-sized pieces and steam them.
- After it is cooked, smash it real good. ;)
- If necessary, add some still water until you reach the desired consistency.
Did we tell you that the butternut squash is a great resource for your baby? Firstly, it is an excellent source of beta-carotene (a type of vitamin A involved in the growth process). A darker and more intense shade of orange indicates that the pumpkin is rich in vitamin A, so keep this in mind next time you go shopping. :)
