Steamed pepper with carrot and parsley

Hello, I know it looks like you're running out of time, and because of this, it can be tempting to buy pre-cooked meals for your baby. At least the snacks, right? However, the best food you can give him/ her, even as a snack, is the one you make yourself at home. Like always, I'm here for you and I want to make your job easier: Let’s cook together!

Ingredients: 

  • 1/4 pepper 
  • 1/4 parsley root
  • 1/2 carrot
  • tsp olive oil 

Let’s start cooking: 

1. Wash the peppercut it into large slices and also steam it. 

Did you know that the intensity of the color of the pepper can give us an important clue to its number of nutrients? Mark my words: The more intense the color of the pepper is, the higher the level of nutrients is.

2. Peel the peppers only after they're cooked. 

3. Clean and wash the carrot and parsleycut them into tiny pieces and steam them. 

4. After all the vegetables have been cooked, smash and mix them well with a little olive oil. 

5. If you want to dilute the consistency of the preparation, add a little still water.

Until next time, I want to leave you with a practical idea: If the baby doesn't eat everything at a meal, any meal, don't throw away the leftover foods. Store everything into a small glass container with lid and put it in the fridge. That way, you'll have a backup if tomorrow the baby refuses to eat what you've prepared for him. When choosing carrots for your little onemake sure they have an intense color and smooth shell. The more intense the color of the carrot isthe more betacarotene it contains.
